Lou Alhage
Lou Alhage is a 10 year resident of New Milford and is actively involved in youth sports. He currently coaches youth baseball,
soccer and basketball and has been recently named as an assistant freshman football coach at NMHS.
Lou works at Boehringer-Ingelheim and resides in New Milford with his wife Leigh and two sons Louis III and Christopher. He
also serves on the board of the Danbury Regional Child Advocacy Center and volunteers for the annual Regional Hospice of Western
Connecticut art auction. Besides coaching, he attempts to compete in local softball and basketball leagues.
Kevin L. Dumas, CPA
Kevin Dumas is a Certified Public Accountant with offices in both New Milford and Washington, CT. He currently is a Board
of Director with the Hunt Hill Farm Trust, the New Milford Hospital and the Country Club of Waterbury. Additionally, he is
Treasurer of the Animal Welfare Society and a member of the Roxbury Board of Finance. Formerly of New Milford, Kevin now resides
in Roxbury with his wife Diana and two daughters, Christina and Jessica.
Tom Esposito
Tom Esposito is a 3 year resident of New Milford and 30 year area resident. Locally educated at the Sherman School, New Milford
High school and a 1980 Graduate of the Canterbury School in New Milford. Sports played a big part in his life starting with
Little League and Babe Ruth baseball to becoming a three season high school athlete in Football, Wrestling and Lacrosse, and
a collegiate Lacrosse player. Tom has been involved over the years in various youth sports programs in the region, as an umpire
of little league and Babe Ruth Baseball and as Lacrosse Coach and referee.
Tom is the President of Bentley Mortgage Corp, a family business he runs with his two brothers and father. He is also a volunteer
for Habitat for Humanity and a corporate sponsor for MVP-SOS. He strongly believes that helping the youth of the town now,
will pay enormous dividends in the future for New Milford.
He resides in New Milford with his wife Diana and two young children Olivia and Thomas.
Al Esposito
Al Esposito, along with his wife Justine and son Giovanni, have resided in New Milford for 2 years. Al grew up in Sherman
and attended the Sherman School as well as the Canterbury School in New Milford. He was a varsity athlete on the Football
and Lacrosse teams. He was active in local Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball in his youth.
Al is the Vice- President of Bentley Mortgage Corp, a family business he runs with his two brothers and father. Al is also
a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and a corporate sponsor of MVP-SOS.
Peter Gillen
New Milford has been home to Pete Gillen for 34 years. He manages the Danbury based warehouse of Metro Turf Specialists.
Pete and his wife, Peggy, have been involved with many of the local youth programs while raising their sons, Peter and Mark.
Pete is also a long time volunteer for the Boys Scouts of America. He enjoyed coaching NM Park & Recreation soccer and basketball
programs.
For the past five years, he was a youth leader for Saint Francis Xavier high school youth group. In the colder months,
he skis the hills of Vermont as a member of the Danbury Ski Club and follows the high school cross country and ice hockey
teams. His running shoes have logged many miles in his preparation for local road races, including completing New Milford’s
Annual 8 Mile road race for the past eight years. Last October marked his first marathon
Bob Greco
Bob Greco is the very successful coach of the New Milford HS Ice Hockey team. He has volunteered throughout his 31 years
in New Milford by chairing the Teen Center, being a former board member of NM Youth Hockey, and coaching youth soccer and
hockey. Bob's background in medicine (graduate of Yale School of Medicine, PA in Family Practice and Clinical Instructor of
Medicine for Quinnipiac College) came in handy as he raised 3 sons, Chris, Ben, and John-Michael with his wife Jan.
In addition to his time with MVP-SOS, Bob is a volunteer for the Special Olympics.
Tim Jalbert
Tim Jalbert is the Founder and current Chairman of MVP-SOS. Tim is presently the Co-owner of Hometown and Midway Liquors of
New Milford and previously had a 24 year career at Kimberly Clark. Tim has been a resident of New Milford for the past 28
years, is married to Sharon Jalbert and has two children, Lianne Maeder and Chelsea Jalbert.
Tim continues to be an assistant coach for the NMHS hockey team and was previously a New Milford volunteer fireman. Tim has
been active in the community by hosting several wine tastings for the benefit of local charities. Midway Liquors is also
the sponsor of an adult football team here in New Milford. In his spare time, Tim enjoys golfing, motorcycling, fishing,
camping and hiking.
Bill Knipple
Bill has been a resident and High School teacher in New Milford for the past 25 years. Throughout his teaching career, he
has been recognized for many honors and was named as the district’s teacher of the year in 2003. He also served as
president of the NM Education Association from 2001-2004. Bill stays involved in athletics by officiating wrestling, umpiring
girls high school softball and being an offical for the men's football league.
He is the proud father of Taryn and Kevin and is a charter member of MVP-SOS.
Dave Johnson
Dave Johnson - together with his wife Carolyn and two children Meghan and Dave is a 4 year resident of New Milford. Both
Meghan and Dave attend New Milford High School. David has coached youth hockey and baseball for almost 30 years while living
in Massachusetts, Maryland and now in Connecticut.
David is the Vice President of Expo Technologies, a company that provides analytical technology to the Pharmaceutical Industry.
David was formally a Vice President of Smiths Detection located in Danbury, Connecticut. David holds a BS in Physical Science,
a MS in Chemistry and a JD in Law.
